The annual Undergraduate Outstanding Scholar Award ceremony recognizes the top 1% of undergraduate students who maintain high academic status, contribute to their community and have completed a co-op or work study in their field. This year, the School of Media Sciences was proud to recognize two students who received this award. Below is a description of their achievements from the ceremony. Congratulations Brianna and Joi! Brianna's Accomplishments

A graduate of Greece (N.Y.) Odyssey Academy, Brianna pursued a BS in Media Arts and Technology. She is a recipient of the M. Herbert and Elsa Eisenhart Memorial Scholarship, the Albert George Coenen Scholarship, and the Howard S. Applegate Leadership Award. Brianna completed internships in graphic design and social media at Darwill, Inc. and Southwest Airlines. At RIT, she served as the digital content manager for the Center for Campus Life and director of marketing communications for the SMS Connect group. Brianna completed her degree in December 2016 and plans to join a creative marketing team.

Joi's Accomplishments

A graduate of Greece (N.Y.) Arcadia High School, Joi is pursuing a BS in media arts and technology. She is a member of the RIT Multicultural Center for Academic Success and led research in information visualization as part of the RIT Undergraduate Research Program. She completed several projects focusing on digital and print publication workflow. Following graduation, Joi plans to pursue a graduate degree in visual communication and begin work in the fields of project management and cross-media publishing.
